take off your shoes and walk with me awhile…
take off your shoes and walk
Precious Holy,
in these uncertain, frightened days
we humbly walk the walk with you, with your people, with our people.
Dearest Friend,
in these unpredictable, anxious hours,
we humbly walk with you, with your people, with our people.
Life-giving Breath,
in these days of isolation and quarantine,
we humbly walk with you, with your people, with our people.
Almighty, life breath, friend and parent,
in these days,
we reach out as we are able
without touch – but with presence
without contact – but with compassion
without the physical – but with the spiritual
In these days,
for all these days
may we continue to be the hands (washed) the words (texted) the love (symbolised) for all your people, who fear and pray
today and today
for tomorrow has enough care of its own…
Amen, and amen
So be it
