Dear One,
There’s a weight that I cannot shift…
it sits in the middle of my chest…
makes my breath catch,
makes my thinking muddled,
makes my movements slow.

Dear One,
There’s a weight that I cannot shift…
It feels like I am the only one
makes me feel alone
makes me feel isolated
makes me feel afraid.

And then

.
And then, I go to the wonder of technology.
My phone.
My tablet.
My laptop…
and all around I see
I am not alone
For we are in this together
We are sharing like we have never shared resources
We are trying out new things – sharing prayers and reading your holy word to each other leading worship remotely; doing the work that we do; differently.
Being your people.
Caring for your beloveds
sharing your words, your hopes, your peace

Precious Holy,
Be with your people
in these days of fear and isolation
in these days of social distancing
these days of keeping safe
keep us safe
we pray

Amen and Amen
