Stopping midday
midweek
amidst the noise
in the middle of work
or play
or nothing
Stopping to pray
and to say thank you
and to remember your faithfulness
and to reach for your promise
and to make an offering
Praying for relief
Praying for healing
Praying for resources to care for the most vulnerable
Praying for tender hearts, gentle words, kind actions
Praying for organized anger
Praying for just policies
Praying for a powerful movement of your people led by your Spirit.
Praying, praying, praying
in the midst of it all…
Receive our prayers. Amen.
