Holy God, Lent is over. Easter Day is over
But the season of Easter lasts for 50 days.
On this Tuesday after, six weeks in with another
six, or eight twelve weeks to go
for this shelter in place, stay home stay safe
or what ever you have to do in your context,
in mine, all I can say is,

everything aches.

I ache from working hard.
I ache from sitting too much (zoom)
I ache from worry
I ache.

Muscles I did not know I had

I ache.

But other than being achy,
I am well.

I pray for those ache
those who are sick
those who are really sick
those who may not survive
those who are dying.

Be with us.
Comfort us
whatever our need.
Comfort our families
and friends,
and even those
we do not know.

I pray.
I ache.
I pray.

One day this will be over.
Until then…

I pray.

(and ache).
