O Lord, you know all things, so you know that Wednesday is Hump Day,
when we come closer to the end than the beginning.
And yet, we feel no closer to the end of the deaths,
to the end of sickness, fear and isolation,
to a return to health for those who are ill,
a return to rest for those working extra hours,
a return to work for those who are suffering.
There seems to be no end to this road.
Walk with us all, we pray,
Lend us your strength as we go,
Give us a glimpse of the end,
Until we truly move toward a finish for all who suffer.
In the healing name of Jesus, Amen.
