Dear God,

We are improvising:
learning how to be pastors
when there are no in-person gatherings
for worship;
making dinner with what is at hand
including those things bought because
they would be “good to try”
or “seemed a good price”;
we are trying our hand
at haircuts
and dog grooming;
finding ways to celebrate
milestones and achievements
without get-togethers
or restaurant dinners.
Dear God,
we are improvising
and it can be exhausting.
Refresh and restore us.
We thank you that you are the Great Improvisor,
finding a way when there is no way,
bringing life when we see only death,
loving each one of us
with creativity and care.
We thank you
and we praise you! Amen.
