May our prayers be to you as incense, wafting upward in reflection and devotion. We are reminded of your faithfulness in the roll of the seasons, the rhythm of life, the walk of sorrow and loss. Our tired hearts are lifted as we rest in your presence. Each moment reveals your kindness, your mercy. The light of your love is reflected in every facet of our being. Grace upon grace sustains us.
Like our mothers and grandmothers and other foremothers in the faith, we rest in the deep truths of you, our forever God. Morning after morning, we see you in large and small ways.
You are with us, Holy One. You hear our prayers of exhaustion and fear. You wrap our sadness in the balm of your love. We rise to face another day of serving and loving you and one another.
Thanks be to God. Amen and amen.
