O God, as we grow weary of masks, and distance,
and not hugging the people we love,
we meet up with our own lack of endurance,
and start to understand the depth of your patience.
O God, as we grow weary of the constant drumbeat of inequality,
we meet up with our own fickle love for each other,
and start to understand your unending passion for justice.
O God, as we grow weary of worshiping on screens,
we meet up with our longing to have everything our way,
and start to understand your presence in all that is, and all that will be.
Sustain us, we pray, with the holy gifts
of patience, of untiring energy for good,
and the peace of finding your Spirit wherever we are. Amen.
