Things are the same, Lord, but oh, so different!
You send us to proclaim your Word, though we now navigate a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party of Zoom and Facebook and camera angles and lighting to make it happen.
You call us to love our neighbor, though we share that love through masks and sanitizer and emails and phone calls instead of face to face.
You call us to speak and act for justice for your children, though the speaking may be online and the acting may be moderated by social distance and pandemic reports.
You promise us that you are with us to the end, and that has not changed.
You assure us that there is nowhere we can go that you have not walked the road ahead of us, and that has not changed. You covenant to hear and answer our prayers, and that has not changed.
You are God, and that will never change.
