Holy One,

A small tree growing in a rock in the middle of a stream

Holy One:

I stand on you, my rock, my security, my refuge, my safe haven.

When flood waters rage, I cling to you. When the heat of the day presses me, I sink my roots deep in your springs of joy.

You hold me up. You remind me that though I may struggle, you surround me with your presence and your peace. I will persevere and believe in the calling you have placed on my life.

Tired and worn, I am refreshed by your ever-flowing grace and love.

So may it always be. Amen.
