God of Naps and Hibernation-

Oh- how tired my brain feels today. Could it be because I feel so overwhelmed? Am I dealing with a physical issue? I know I feel so stressed about so much!

Why did you allow stress in our world? Might you fix this problem? Can you make it easier on us, God? Can you take us back to early 2019- before the spread of the virus began? Before we worried about ourselves and our loved ones catching Covid? Before we had to plan things in extra detail – from our trips to the store to our worship services?

Can you take us back to being a child again- before extreme and increasing worry entered our picture?

May the nervousness that creates our hearts to race and our minds to tire leave us. May we find new ways to trust you and do our best to live in this wilderness, to live and love in this Covid-world.

Amen.

  1. Just a reminder that China notified the WHO about the novel coronavirus now known as Covid-19 at the end of December 2019. That means some of our siblings were already dealing with the infection even before January.
