God, who is life and breath, we call out to you the names of those who have died from COVID, just a few of the million people lost to the pandemic, worldwide. Each one a beloved friend and family member, each absence felt. Each one cast their light into the world, and their passing leaves us all dimmer. To you, we commend their lives, and our tears, as we are overwhelmed by sorrow. Amen.
