The world dances with possibility
The winds undress the trees
The waters move and call
The sun warms and renews
Elections (almost) come to an end
All the while you are watching over us, God
As close to us as our beating hearts
Loving us fiercely yet tenderly
Inviting us to fully grow in our relationship with you
Compelling us to connect with one another
Breathing new life into us
As we heal one day at a time
And respond with gratitude and joy
¡Aleluya! Thank you, God.

Ah, the gap of the “almost” — I don’t want to fall into that depression.
