We repent. The ways we’ve turned from your love. The ways we’ve rejected your community. The ways we’ve abandoned your justice.
Holy Love,
We repent. The hate in our hearts. The evil in our policies. The greed in our leadership. The lies on our lips.
Spirit Divine,
We repent. Our tendencies toward apathy. The distractions we indulge. Every time we rolled our eyes and walked on by….
Font of Creation,
We repent. This racism we made. This privilege we perpetuate. This evil we brew.
Radical Welcome,
We repent. Our hate of other. Our fear of change. Our anger turned violent.
Sibling Christ,
We repent. We have failed to see your belovedness in our neighbor. We have neglected your charge to love. We have cheapened your entire message.
Source of all Life,
Hear our prayer. Turn our hearts. Change our community. Forgive our Sin. Guide our actions. Move your world. Today, and now.
