Consoling Spirit-
For every spirit waiting for the other shoe to drop, we pray to you.
For every person feeling the ache of slowly releasing muscles, we pray to you.
For the peace of the souls who did not live to see this day, we pray to you.
For those whose work made our todays possible, we thank you.
For those whose hopefulness keeps us on the path, we thank you.
For those whose discipline has brought forth a better world, we thank you.
For those who are still grieving, we ask for your mercy.
For those who bear the scars, we ask for your mercy.
For those who fear leaving the shadows, we ask for your mercy.
From those who will not turn away from anger, we ask for your protection.
From those who seek to cause harm, we ask for your protection.
From those who refuse to slink into history, we ask for your protection.
Hear our prayer, Spirit of Love, and in your mercy, answer us.
Amen.
