Holy One,
The ice that fell on top of my driveway, just shoveled last night, reminded me… Repentance is an act of daily, even moment-by-moment awareness of the depths or my stubborn nature, and the limitless Grace you offer me. Sometimes I resent this work of persistently seeking you. Sometimes I want my humanity to be less… human. Sometimes I pretend that I am the only one who has no flaws.
ahhhh… Lord… Breathe fresh in me the warmth of your love. Melt away the hard places, the grumbly and crumbly bits of my defensiveness. Help me show your heart in my heart, your plans guiding my hands.
Thaw my frozen heart as I walk this Lenten journey with you…
Amen.
