Holy One,
I stare at the rising trail, and I sigh. I am facing my fears… counting the steps… calculating if I’m ready to go. The goal is so far away.
You invite. You encourage. You Call… this is your work… this is your place… this is your task… these are my people, OUR people…
You have prepared me, taught me, and equipped me. Forgive my doubts and my lack of courage. Remind me again and again of your faithful love.
And when I cannot see around the bend, increase my faith. I know you walk ahead of me. And I love you.
Amen.
