Generous God, as life expands,

as we set aside the routines of the past year, and learn new ones,

we give thanks for all the places of new opening…

around us, and within us.

May we take in your expansive Spirit,

feeling joy in our individual places of opening up

and breathing our thanks, maybe even without a mask.

We seek the courage of wider openings, too,

for anyone who has been squashed down,

hushed up,

worn out.

May all of your people feel

our chests opening with new breath,

our lives opening with new wisdom,

our worlds opening with insistent grace.

In the breath of the ever-blowing Spirit, Amen.
