Creator God, as our lives open up, as we step out gingerly of the house,

as we gather with our beloved people again,

or do our work in offices again,

the world feels like a new creation,

and part of me isn’t ready.

Everything feels so loud, and so busy, and so full,

and I want to shrink back into the hush again.

In this in-between time, I seek your gift of quiet,

to go alongside the joy of seeing people,

a wealth of peace to balance the bustle,

your expansive view of time to fill the sudden busy-ness.

In the name of the One who loved the quiet, Amen.
