Wise God, we give you thanks for the people who help us re-catch our faith when it grows thin, frail, and empty.

For the church leader who is constant in prayer that she stirs our prayers again,

for the long-ago teacher whose words stay with us,

for the grandmothers and aunties whose love calls us back to you,

we give thanks.

For the child with a great question, and the elder with a sage observation,

and the renewal they pass on to us,

we give thanks.

For the stranger seeking help from us and the friend who offers it back,

we give thanks.

For your spirit speaking thru each one, we come in grateful awakening.  Amen.
