God of all hearts-

To quote Augustine, “Shield your joyous ones”.

Let those who are enjoying peace of heart and mind continue.
Let those who are giggling in play and contentment persist.
Let those who are laughing in joy and love go on.

Protect those whose hearts are light.
Preserve those whose spirits are dancings.
Save those whose minds are free from anxiety.

Shield the joy of those seeking justice.
Shield the merriment of those who work for peace.
Shield the love of those who strive to dismantle oppression.

Let the fruit of joy be an easy growth and harvest for all your children, alive in your Spirit,
living in accordance with your will of healing and wholeness.

Amen.
