One of the quiet spaces at “Ali’s B& B” in Puerto Rico.

On this day, dear God,

As we seek rest

As we seek peace

As we seek love

As we seek justice

As we seek joy

As we seek wholeness

As we seek liberation …

May we be rest for the weary and those constantly profiled

May we be peace in moments of anxiety and fear

May we share love freely and unabashedly

May we demand and work for justice for all creation

May we not take ourselves too seriously, and laugh, and take time to tickle others

May we be sources of true healing and deep compassion

May we be free to be who you desired us to be and allow others the same freedom

On this day, dear God.

Amen and amén
