In a world where beauty standards often render so many of us, your beloved, as ugly,
Where racism, patriarchy, ableism, xenophobia, and homophobia would cause us to believe we don’t belong,
And success means upward mobility and towering over the more vulnerable,
Your creation reminds us that it is more than “okay” to be queer, it is beautiful. It is powerful. It is life-giving and life-affirming.
Thank you, God.
Amen.
