Holy One, if I were to list the concerns that weigh on my heart, the list would be long.
There are so many ways we humans have broken the world you created. If I were to list the blessings that life my heart and help me find balance, the list would be long as well.
You, Creator of all, who longs for the world and all of its creatures, to be healthy and to live life fully alive, to love and be loved as you made us, help us to see your ways. You, who raise up prophets to tell us the truth and to compel us to become truth tellers, God truths, give up sustenance that we may have the stamina for deep soul work.
The interior examination of how we may have been shaped and formed by the systems of oppression, is soul work that leads to telling God truths in the world. This is not easy, yet this is the Word calling into our live, the prophets of old pointing the way for prophets today.
May I, (we), be your prophet voice.
May I, (we), do this work. May I, (we), be the hands and heart of Incarnate One, of your love enfleshed in human kind. If I have not yet begun, help me start this work. If I am on my way, help me have courage and stamina. If I am well along on the journey, help me have wisdom and grace. In your mercy, I pray. Amen.
