Resurrecting God,
open our minds.
Grant us understanding,
that grasping the wonder
of your extravagant grace
we are able to share it
with others.

Servant Savior,
open our hearts.
Grant us humility
that seeing your example
of servant leadership,
we are able to follow
in your footsteps
with humility
and grace.

Holy Spirit,
breathe new life within us.
Transform us into people
who bear God’s name.
Make us a welcoming people,
a compassionate people,
a generous people.

Triune God,
wherever there are children
who are shunned
or persecuted,
hungry
or hurting,
crying
and alone,
send us, we pray,
and help us to draw
the welcome circle wider.
