The hills cry out, O God.
They call to us to watch and see,
To look for the signs of change,
To watch for the hawk circling for prey.
The hills cry out, O God.
They invite us to wait, to wonder,
To dare to climb,
To follow a path blazed for us.
The hills cry out, O God.
They speak of peoples misplaced and replaced,
Of land abused and over-farmed,
And we who ignore or forget earth’s peril.
The hills cry out, O God.
They invite us to deeper, rugged climbs,
To listen for your voice, your heart,
And reflect back your glory.
The hills cry out, God.
Blessed be.
