For the ones who are waiting,
Who hear endless “not yets”,
The ones who are told their time will come,
But it can’t be now
Because, because, because.
For the ones whose hope is fragile,
Wispy and barely tangible,
God, be a consolation,
Hear their weeping,
Be their answer in holy fullness.
Make now the time.
