Compassionate God,
Lay on our hearts an undeniable call to love:
The people who do not know what they will eat today or where they will sleep tonight.
The people who are hurting, lost, in captivity, sick or dying.
Those who pretend not to hear the rattle of the chains that hold them, or to feel their weight, chains that you would break.
Help us to understand that the saving of the world is up to us, through the guidance and strength of your Spirit. Help us to work, help us to love, your kingdom come and your will be done. Help us.
Amen.
