God this is a prayer of fast forward

as the palms are here, or coming (or not, eep!)

As the the church is ready, or not.

As the sermon is ready, or not.

As our hearts are ready, or not.

I lift my eyes to the hills

–and some days beyond to skies,

and the clouds and all the way to the heavens themselves–

From where does my help come?

My help comes from the Lord, my God

Who labors with me,

who laughs with me,

who cries with me,

who is frustrated, tired

and reaching for inspiration with me.

Lord, let me cry out to you–

this Tuesday before Holy Week.

Let me rest in your

glory, remembering

that you had

weary,

frustrating

beautiful

loving

days too.

Amen.
