Friday Prayer

Holy Parent and Source of all Life-Giving Revelation-

I know that there are scales on my place of perception.
For we all “see” and “hear” and “understand” differently.
And, thus, in the rooted location where I receive information
and respond in accordance with your Love,
There are scales.

Where I am unable to perceive my own privilege,
Let the scales fall away.

Where I persist in wrongdoing,
Let the scales fall away.

Where I have failed to use my own power for good,
Let the scales fall away.

Where I am still speaking, instead of listening,
Let the scales fall away.

Where I cling to a false sense of control,
Let the scales fall away.

Where I have left apologies and reparations unsaid and undone,
Let the scales fall away.

Where I have clung to a holy zeal You would not own,
Let the scales fall away.

Where I have failed to love myself as a child of God,
Let the scales fall away.

Let the scales fall away, Mother of Us All,
And let me be the love You have made me to be.
