A Prayer for Everyone

This one is for the anxious one,

the ones who can read every emotion in an overcrowded room and the empathy of every conflict there.

God, we pray they find comfort and peace.

This one is for the misguided one,

the ones who wander far, searching for the long way home.

God, we pray for comfort and peace.

This one is for the silent one,

the ones who bear the scars of abuse without a listening ear or a trusted confidant.

God, we pray for comfort and peace.

This one is for the angry one,

the ones who have born oppresion to their very skin cries out for justice.

God, we pray for comfort and peace.

This one is for the disillusioned one,

the ones who have protested tirelessly, only to feel their work is in vain.

God, we pray for comfort and peace.

This one is for the greiving one,

the ones who suffer through the myriad of feelings that come with loss.

God, we pray for comfort and peace.

This one is for the tender one,

the ones whose soul weeps, overwhelmed at the world around them.

God, we pray for comfort and peace.

This one is for every one,

for all of us feel at times anxious or angry, misguided or grieved.

And so all of us, Holy God, need your regard, and so we pray together:

God, we pray for comfort and peace.

Amen.
