A Lament. In Time of Violence and Grief.
(trigger warning)
O Lord!
Another shooting. Another explosion of hatred and violence.
O Lord!
More grief, more devastation, in so many lives.
O Lord!
How inadequate I feel, just hearing about this.
O Lord!
Separated by distance, yet I’m a parent, too…
O Lord!
Prayers ascending. Wordless prayers, mostly.
O Love!
Wrap Your arms around all who grieve.
O Love!
Comfort those dear ones.
O Love!
Comfort the devastated. Even us.
Amen.
