It is pretty obvious we know how to create beauty
You have gifted us with imagination, Holy Creator
Its living evidence is all around us
We can abide with creation, as part of creation
You believe it, God and declared us all good
Do we?
Cuz we refuse to put down our guns or pass common sense gun laws
Our privilege is addicted to oil and demands the commodification of earth’s resources
Babies continue to die from hunger and poverty, families separated, disappeared
Help us, Creator
Restore our trust in you
In one another
In ourselves
Before it is too late, and the abundant beauty is gone like chaff in the wind…
Cause us to re-member
Help us to reach back and deep
Cuz we know how to embody beauty
Its living evidence is yet at work within us
Thanks be to God!
Amen
