Duck with Ducklings November 2021

We have been renovating a house for almost two years, and when I went to see how the painter was going this week, I was met by this family of ducks. It made my morning.

The Narrative this week is about justice rolling down like a river, and the RCL includes one of my favourite stories, 1 Samuel 1 and 2 – Hannah and Hannah’s song, maybe because Hannah’s prayer has been my prayer.

Discussions from earlier in the week can be found:

The following stories were recommended in another Facebook group if you are reading 1 Samuel 2 “When We Say Black Lives Matter” by Maxine Beneba Clarke or “For Every Child A Song” by Nicola Davies.

It is almost dinner time on Wednesday evening here on the East Coast of Australia. My Saturday evening sermon writing has moved forward to Thursdays, so the printed service can get to those without email, If you have finished writing or know where you are going or just starting to think about your sermon for the week, come and join the Preacher Party.  You may inspire someone with your comment or question.
