God in the midst of chaos-

Today I lift to you the people, young and old, for whom a change in routine is painful and confusing.

Remember, in your favor, the ones who are pained by loud noises, flashes, and unexpected turbulence.

Carry, with special kindness, those who are freshly grieving, passing a sorrowful anniversary, or those whose scars are particularly aching.

Pour out compassion on your children whose bodies and minds no longer cooperate with one another and who feel trapped and betrayed by their own being.

Shield those whose stemming is joyful, whose shrieks are celebratory, and whose big feelings are meant to be contagious in spreading kindness and hope.

Amen.
