It is a new day and I am trying hard to be glad in it
The fight for justice continues and I am trying to stay in it
The hurt is old and deep and I am trying to heal from it
Love abounds but I don’t know how to trust it
And in the midst of it all, you journey with me, God
With us
Thank you, Gracious God
For the journey is long and we cannot walk it alone
It all becomes possible with you, with our ancestors, and with each other
May we never forget this!
