I don’t know about you, preachers, but I almost always can use a little extra hope. I spent Friday morning on a hike at a nearby state park that experienced a large-scale fire in 2011. It burned innumerable pine trees, which mostly still stand as bare trunks. But, in a testament to resiliency and resurrection, new pine trees are growing. They nourished my spirit with hope.
Does your congregation need a word of hope? Let’s help each other find that word. Revised Common Lectionary, Narrative Lectionary, stewardship season, sermon series that seemed like a good idea at the time, and that tricky children’s time all come together at the Preacher Party. Join in to share ideas and ask for help.
Peace be with you, preachers.
